We would like to invite you to join us for a Spring Forage at the Three Towers Eco House & Organic Kitchen at the Slieve Aughty Centre in Kylebrack, Loughrea on the 4th May. Renowned forager Mary Bulfin (Aka.....Wild Food Mary) will lead the forage along with local foragers on the day. This will be followed by a hot lunch buffet along with desserts provided by yourselves (Slow Food members). Please be advised that spaces at this event will be limited and therefore we will be giving Slow Food Members first preference for booking provided you book before before the 20th April, after which date, any remaining spaces will be sold to the Public. So please book early to avoid disappointment.
We are very proud to announce that Galway is now the largest most active convivium in Ireland with 118 members. Over the past year we have seen a huge spike in membership which is fantastic for Galway and many activities in and around the city would suggest that it is becoming the food capital of Ireland!!
Last year we have seen our events becoming bigger and bigger because of rise in membership and have somewhat lost the intimacy Slow Food Galway once had. It is for this reason that we have decided that this year we will scale back on the size and magnitude of our events and to also give our members first preference to booking a space at these events. So please ensure that you do book early!!
If for any reason you do book a place and do not show up on the day, you may be liable to pay (we are after-all a non profit organisation and we are lucky to break-even at most events!)
The prices per event are based on total costs of running the event and the number of assumed members attending the event.....therefore, a no show member will leave us running with a loss!. We often do have a waiting list of people wishing to come along to events, and if for any reason you cannot attend, please inform us ASAP so as we can re-sell this place.
Thank you for your understanding.
I hope to chat with you soon
