Slow Food Christmas Dinner

Dessert, Raffle

Dan Barth is a local Clarenbridge oyster producer. He will be bringing oysters for the reception and will give a short presentation on oyster production.
Slow Food Galway member Mary Cahalan is looking after the catering. We will be cooking whole Baked Hams for our main dish and asking other members to bring one dish to accompany this.

Below is the list of dishes we’ll need for the feast. Pick one and contact Mary with the dish you are bringing. Be as creative as you like but don’t leave it until the day before to contact her:) !

Please RSVP and contact Mary at: email galwaychef@eircom.net : Tel:091 593515 :: Mob 086 8593844

Dinner will be followed by a buffet of deserts, including mince pies. If you like, bring your own home-made Christmas tipple (sloe-gin, etc. – not wine) to share at your table. Wine is available by the glass to buy from Brigit’s Garden.

And finally, we are asking people to bring a small (great if it is home-made!) edible gift –  jar of jam, shortbread, etc., and we will make up small baskets to raffle for The Simon Community.

The Kitchen in Brigit’s Garden is small, so we would appreciate just three volunteers to help in the preparation.
